Untitled is an installation specifically made for the first exhibition of Clay in Vivo in 2025.

All work exhibited in that show was made of unfired (raw) clay. For Untitled, I researched and compounded a particular paper clay that allowed the making of large and very thin and fragile slabs of textured clay that could ‘hover’ above ground and in front of the wall without breaking. Being unfired, the clay reacted to its environment, warping and shrinking depending on the surrounding atmosphere. At the end of the exhibition, the work was recycled and the clay reused in another piece, Swaying while Standing, this time fired, which further developed fragile geometries and distortions occurring during the firing process.
